Nutrition Journal Update- Due May 10th
Now that we are in a new 6-weeks, if you haven't taken the time to start tracking a goal, start now. Let us know what your goal is and how you plan to track this goal throughout the next 6-weeks. If you have been on board and goal tracking the past 6-weeks, take this time to begin thinking about how your body is feeling. Do you feel any different? If it's associated with weight loss, have you lost any yet? If you haven't felt any different, why do you think that is?
Keep in mind, even if you haven't been tracking a goal, 6-weeks is a good start to a lifestyle change!

My goals is to eat a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables each day. However I have not been tracking it. I do not feel any different than I did when I started
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by balanced? How many would this be each day?
DeleteI am off and on with my nutrition/veggie goals. While I ate a massive serving / amount of servings one day, I hardly ate any the next or the few days after that. However, I relaply do not feel any healthier when I do consume vegetables, whether that be one serving or five. I suppose when doing athletics, it can only help with keeping me full and simply getting the nutrients I need from veggies overall.
ReplyDeleteDo you think it's because your goal was set too high to start? It's like the person that says they are going to go out and exercise everyday for 3 hours when they typically don't exercise at all... Maybe too much, too fast?

ReplyDeleteMy goal is to sleep more and when I do so I feel much more alert and energized throughout the day
ReplyDeletemy nutrition goal is to get more sleep. I don't get very much but when I do I always feel more alert for the day. I will do this by finishing my home work before 7. -Katherine Boman
ReplyDeletei have been tracking my goal, but i don't feel any different than when i started. But i know just by doing it i must be healthier.

Remind me of your goal again? Have you been paying attention to how you feel?
DeleteMy nutrition goal was to eat less sweets and fatty foods. For the most part I think I've done a good job keeping that goal present. So because of my new diet this past 6 weeks I've increasingly been having more energy.
ReplyDeleteBe specific... How many less and how often?
DeleteMy nutrition goal was to get more vegatables in my diet. For the most part I have kept up with my goal, but there are some days I'm not.

What's the difference between the days you do eat them and don't eat them? For example, are you busier those days or is it on the weekends that you forget to? Try to figure out why some days it's easier than others.
Deletemy goal the beginning of the semester was to get more sleep. I now get the right amount of hours every child should sleep for! It's great, because every morning i feel like i am absolutely ready to start the day!
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind, each person is a little different when it comes to how much sleep they need. There also may be times in your life where you will need more or less. The most important thing is that you are paying attention to how you feel and making the changes you need to in order to feel well rested throughout the day.
DeleteMy goal at the beginning of the semester was to drink more water. Since I started this I seem to be gradually getting more energy, and I'm not getting sick as much as I used too. I had no clue that not drink enough water was causing a lot of this.
ReplyDeleteWater helps keep our body regulated. You should look up what water does for our body. It does much, much more than just hydrate us.
DeleteMy goal of the semester was to drink more water, eat more healthy and exercise. So far it has gone okay. I've drank more water and it has helped me a lot. I have eaten more fruits and veggies (: that's been great my stomach doesn't hurt as much more o: suprisingly ! On the exercise part i've done alright on that part. I do it 2 hours every tuesday, thursday, and saturday.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the exercise! Stomach issues can be a quick way to tell that we are putting not so good things in our bodies. I'm glad you're feeling better!
DeleteWith my goal it has given me more energy when I eat healthy and I don't feel bad when I eat healthy.

Remind me of your goal again... Do you miss the unhealthy foods?
DeleteWhen i wouldn't drink milk and get a calcium in take i would feel like road kill in the morning at school, but now i feel more energized and excited.
ReplyDeleteHow long have you been tracking this goal? Did it take long for you to feel these effects?
DeleteAt the beginning of the semester my goal was to drink more water. So far I've done alright, and being more hydrated has helped me to feel better. For example, if I didn't drink enough water my throat would feel dry and it would feel very uncomfortable and sometimes it would actually hurt. But, I think I've been doing good so far.
