Nutrition Journal Update- Due May 10th

Now that we are in a new 6-weeks, if you haven't taken the time to start tracking a goal, start now. Let us know what your goal is and how you plan to track this goal throughout the next 6-weeks. If you have been on board and goal tracking the past 6-weeks, take this time to begin thinking about how your body is feeling. Do you feel any different? If it's associated with weight loss, have you lost any yet? If you haven't felt any different, why do you think that is? Keep in mind, even if you haven't been tracking a goal, 6-weeks is a good start to a lifestyle change!

  1. My goals is to eat a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables each day. However I have not been tracking it. I do not feel any different than I did when I started

    1. What do you mean by balanced? How many would this be each day?

  2. I am off and on with my nutrition/veggie goals. While I ate a massive serving / amount of servings one day, I hardly ate any the next or the few days after that. However, I relaply do not feel any healthier when I do consume vegetables, whether that be one serving or five. I suppose when doing athletics, it can only help with keeping me full and simply getting the nutrients I need from veggies overall.

    1. Do you think it's because your goal was set too high to start? It's like the person that says they are going to go out and exercise everyday for 3 hours when they typically don't exercise at all... Maybe too much, too fast?

  7. My nutrition goal was to eat less sweets and fatty foods. For the most part I think I've done a good job keeping that goal present. So because of my new diet this past 6 weeks I've increasingly been having more energy.

    1. What's the difference between the days you do eat them and don't eat them? For example, are you busier those days or is it on the weekends that you forget to? Try to figure out why some days it's easier than others.

    1. Keep in mind, each person is a little different when it comes to how much sleep they need. There also may be times in your life where you will need more or less. The most important thing is that you are paying attention to how you feel and making the changes you need to in order to feel well rested throughout the day.

  10. My goal at the beginning of the semester was to drink more water. Since I started this I seem to be gradually getting more energy, and I'm not getting sick as much as I used too. I had no clue that not drink enough water was causing a lot of this.

    1. Water helps keep our body regulated. You should look up what water does for our body. It does much, much more than just hydrate us.

    1. Nice job on the exercise! Stomach issues can be a quick way to tell that we are putting not so good things in our bodies. I'm glad you're feeling better!

  14. At the beginning of the semester my goal was to drink more water. So far I've done alright, and being more hydrated has helped me to feel better. For example, if I didn't drink enough water my throat would feel dry and it would feel very uncomfortable and sometimes it would actually hurt. But, I think I've been doing good so far.
